Step 1: create the key in eToro
You connect in three steps, and the first happens in eToro: go to Settings, then Trading, then API Key Management, and choose Create New Key. Choose the Real environment and enable trading. eToro asks you to verify by SMS before it creates the key. You make the key yourself, inside your own eToro account.
Step 2: copy the two keys eToro shows
eToro shows two values. The short one is the Public Key. The long one is the Private Key. Copy both. They do different jobs in AutoCoin, so keep track of which is which before you leave the eToro screen. Keep each one somewhere you can find it again, such as a password manager, until you have entered both.
Step 3: paste them into AutoCoin
In AutoCoin, paste the short Public Key into the API Key box and the long Private Key into the User Key box. It is easy to swap them, so check which is which. Then choose a strategy, set the capital it may use and switch it on.
